Lectures and Residential Fellows
The Dukakis Center organizes lectures, seminars, round tables, public readings, and master classes featuring prominent practitioners, scholars, and publicists. In July 2014 the Center hosted Dr Erhard Busek, former Austrian Vice Chancellor and Coordinator of the South-Eastern Cooperative Initiative (SECI), and Othon Anastasakis, Director of the European Studies Centre at St Antony’s College, Oxford.
In support of ACT’s academic and degree programs the Dukakis Center also hosts a regular seminar series featuring younger scholars and non-academic specialists. Recent events include presentations by the Beetroot design group, vintner Evangelos Gerovassiliou, and interfaith activist Ángela María Arbeláez Arbeláez.
Finally, the Dukakis Center occasionally hosts Residential Fellows for terms of a few days to several weeks. Fellows deliver public lectures, interact with the ACT community, and work on personal research projects.
Scholars and practitioners as diverse as historian Mark Mazower, author Peter Balakian, classicist Jenifer Neils, film maker Stavros Psillakis, diplomat Brady Kiesling, and journalist Tasos Telloglou have visited ACT under the auspices of the Dukakis Center.
